UNMEI INC. TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: October 22, 2026 · Last Updated: October 22, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Unmei’s website, application, and related software services (collectively, the “Services”).
Unmei Inc. (“Unmei,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides software tools for salon and barbershop owners, landlords, property operators, and renters.
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you use the Services for a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.
You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account, keep your information current, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.
3. Description of the Services
Unmei may provide tools for property and rental management, renter invitations, invoice generation, payment tracking, subscription billing, document uploads, and related administrative activities.
Available features may vary by account type and subscription plan.
We may update or discontinue features as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Services, subject to applicable law and any separate contractual commitments.
4. Unmei Is Not a Party to Rental Agreements
Unmei is a software provider, not the landlord, property owner, real estate broker, legal adviser, or guarantor of any rental arrangement.
Unmei is not a party to lease agreements entered into between landlords and renters unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement.
Landlords and renters remain responsible for their own agreements, rental obligations, property-related decisions, and compliance with applicable laws.
Creating an account, sending an invitation, entering rental terms, or accepting an invitation to use Unmei does not, by itself, establish a lease between Unmei and a user or replace a separate landlord–renter agreement.
Unmei does not guarantee that renters will pay rent or that landlords will fulfill their obligations.
5. Property Information and Invoices
Users are responsible for the accuracy of property information, rental amounts, payment frequencies, invoice due dates, and other details entered into the Services.
Unmei provides administrative tools and does not independently determine whether rent is legally owed, a payment is delinquent, or a lease has been breached.
Users should verify material discrepancies against their agreements and transaction records.
We do not guarantee that every invoice, reminder, notification, or payment record will be generated or delivered without error or delay.
6. Document Uploads
Users may upload signed leases and other documents where the feature is available.
You represent that you have the rights and authority necessary to upload and share your documents.
You are responsible for the content, accuracy, completeness, and legal validity of documents you upload. Unmei does not provide legal advice or guarantee that an uploaded document is enforceable.
You retain your rights in your documents and grant Unmei a limited, nonexclusive right to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and process them as necessary to provide, secure, and maintain the Services.
Users should retain their own copies of important documents.
7. Payments and Stripe
Unmei uses Stripe for payment processing, including applicable subscription and payment functionality.
By using a payment feature, you authorize the transactions you initiate and agree to the applicable Stripe terms and payment requirements.
Depending on the configuration and transaction, payment providers may process billing details, payment method information, transaction amounts, and payment status.
Payments may fail, be delayed, disputed, reversed, or returned. Unmei does not guarantee payment approval, successful settlement, or uninterrupted processing.
Applicable payment processing fees, refund procedures, and dispute procedures will be disclosed or governed by the applicable transaction terms and payment provider agreements.
Users must not initiate unauthorized payments or use the Services for unlawful transactions.
8. Monthly Subscriptions and Billing
Certain features require a paid subscription.
Before subscribing, you will be shown the applicable plan, monthly price, and material billing terms.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring monthly charges through the selected payment method.
Unless otherwise disclosed at checkout:
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month.
- You may cancel future renewals through available account settings or by contacting admin@unmeico.com.
- Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
- Fees incurred before cancellation takes effect remain payable.
- Changes to your subscription may affect available features.
Subscription prices may be changed prospectively with notice and consent where required by law.
9. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable law and any refund terms disclosed at purchase.
A request for a refund does not automatically guarantee approval.
To request a review, contact admin@unmeico.com and include your account email, transaction date, and reason for the request. Do not include complete payment card numbers or other unnecessary sensitive financial information.
Approved refunds will be processed through the applicable payment method or payment provider, where supported.
Nothing in this section limits refund rights or other rights that cannot legally be waived.
10. Landlord and Renter Responsibilities
Landlords and property operators are responsible for the accuracy of property and rental information, establishing lawful rental terms, reviewing invoices, maintaining appropriate records, and complying with applicable laws.
Renters are responsible for providing accurate information, reviewing their rental terms and invoices, meeting their obligations under their agreements, and retaining important documents.
Unmei does not guarantee the conduct or performance of other users.
11. Communications and Notifications
Unmei may provide basic account notifications, invitations, billing communications, and other service-related messages.
The availability of communication features may vary. Unless a direct messaging feature is expressly made available, users should not assume that Unmei provides a private, full-featured messaging service.
Users remain responsible for confirming important rental decisions and agreements directly with the relevant parties.
12. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services to commit fraud, violate the law, access accounts or data without authorization, distribute malicious code, interfere with platform security, infringe intellectual property rights, harass other users, or circumvent subscription or access restrictions.
You may not misrepresent your identity or authority to manage a property.
We may restrict or suspend access in response to material violations, suspected fraud, or security risks, subject to applicable law.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by the Unmei Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority to submit information about renters and other individuals.
14. Intellectual Property
Unmei and its licensors retain ownership of the Services, software, branding, logos, design, and associated intellectual property, except for rights expressly granted to users.
We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purposes while your account is authorized.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Unmei’s intellectual property without permission, except as permitted by law.
15. Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on third-party providers, including Stripe, hosting providers, and email services.
Those providers may have separate terms and privacy policies. Unmei does not control the independent operation of third-party services and cannot guarantee their availability.
16. Availability and Disclaimer
We aim to maintain reliable Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or system.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Unmei does not warrant that the Services will meet every user’s requirements, that every record will be accurate, that all payments will succeed, or that the platform will prevent all fraud, data loss, or unauthorized access.
Unmei does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, or property-management advice.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unmei will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from the Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unmei’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- The subscription fees you paid directly to Unmei during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- US$100.
This limitation does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unmei from third-party claims and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, material violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or User Content.
This provision does not require indemnification for losses caused by Unmei’s own conduct where such indemnification is prohibited by law.
19. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription according to the applicable billing terms.
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, suspected fraud, security threats, unlawful conduct, or other legitimate operational reasons, subject to applicable law.
Where required, we will provide appropriate notice or an opportunity to address the issue.
After termination, access to your account or stored information may be restricted. Information will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations.
Where export functionality is available, retain copies of important records before closing your account.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Disputes concerning these Terms or the Services will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Florida, unless applicable law provides otherwise or the parties agree to another lawful process.
Nothing in these Terms limits nonwaivable consumer rights.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our Services, business practices, or legal obligations.
We will update the revision date and provide notice or obtain consent where required by law.
22. General Provisions
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
These Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy, together with any agreements expressly incorporated into them, govern your use of the Services.
